Compassionate Care Hospice
Compassionate Care Hospice is located in Athens, Georgia. I have had the opportunity to serve this organization by assisting in various areas of daily operation. I was able to design an informational flyer, organize and file paperwork, insert patient data, and most importantly participate in the preparation of the yearly memorial service.
Compassionate Care Hospice hosts a special memorial service in honor of patients who pass away each year. This is a beautiful way to recognize the memory of each patient, as well as show the families how much Compassionate Care Hospice cared about each loved one. Being able to help assist in the planning and setup of such a special event was truly meaningful. I truly cherished such a wonderful and unique volunteer experience.
Food Bank of Northeast Georgia
The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia provides food supplies to those in Athens-Clarke County, as well as surrounding areas throughout Northeast Georgia. I have had the opportunity to be an intern at this organization during the Spring of 2020. This internship has allowed me to utilize my health promotion education in an actual work place setting, as well as serve my local community.
